Los Mexicanos Restaurant: Authentic Mexican Flavors & Friendly Service in Spartanburg, SC

I tried this place for the first time. It wasn't bad. It's not my fav Mexican spot, but I would eat here again. The service was good. I got the Carnitas dinner. It was okay. The meat was dry and not much taste. I did really like the pico and their salsa. The hot salsa is actually spicy unlike other Mexican restaurants claim theirs to be. The picture I posted doesn't do it justice since I already dove in before I took the pic. However you can see what primarily comes with the Carnitas plate. I had eaten the pico and most of the rice and beans. My husband got the carne asada and it came with a really hot pepper that I stole from his plate and put on mine. I took one bite and FUEGO! I will let him taste test first before I steal anything else off his plate!

An afternoon with my parents, took them to get their haircut and dinner was to follow. As we pulled up to great clips there was a Mexican restaurant, which my father loves Mexican restaurants. We walked in and everyone was so helpful and friendly, we sat and was greeted with a huge bowl of chips and 2 kinds of salsa, we couldn't stop eating them delicious. The time has come to order and shrimp fajitas for dad, chicken chimichanga for mom and carnitas Dinner for myself. The food arrived and the table was full of tantalizing aromatic foods that had all of us salivating to dig in. Each dish was absolutely delicious, each with its own flavor in which the dish was created for. During dinner I made a remark, I believe we have found a new restaurant we will be eating at. Both parents looked and agreed. This is a must to come and enjoy.

Came in on a Thursday night at dinner time and was able to get a table right away. Service was pretty good and the food was good too. Nothing special about it, just your average Mexican American kind of food. The price is reasonable, and the portion is decent.

Definitely some of the best Mexican food around this area. Service is always great as well. The only reason Atmosphere didn't get 5 stars is that I always seem to get a booth where the person behind moves my bench all over the restaurant. Please secure the seats to something!

We actually came here on Mother's Day & had a lunch. Place was packed but was happily seated outside. Our server was prompt. Came by the table several times throughout the meal. Was very polite and attentive. ( actually think I caught him in the background of a good photo ) This was my first time eating here & it was on the fly so I'm glad it was so good. The food was great. Definitely was fresh & delicious. The queso dip, chips & salsa was great! Meal entrées were great too. Even though they were busy, it didn't show in their food quality! I give them 5 !

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have had the pleasure of eating at. I was only visiting/ passing through. Not sure I will ever eat here again, but the food was delicious and I wish I could have more of it. I highly recommend this place. Service was great !
